Blind corner – 死角、見通しの悪い曲がり角
Blind cornerは、「死角、見通しの悪い（利かない）曲がり角」という意味で、主に車に乗っているときに使われる表現です。
Never overtake another car on a blind corner! You have no idea what might be coming towards you.
見通しの悪い角で他の車を追い抜かないように！対抗で何が出てくるかまったく分からないので。
The four corners of the world – 世界各地
The four corners of the worldは、「世界各地」という意味です。「世界の様々な異なる地域」「世界の隅々から」(英語ではMany different parts of the world) といった意味合いがあります。
People from the four corners of the world gathered for the huge music event.
その巨大な音楽イベントのために、世界各地の人々が集まった。
Out of the corner of one’s eye – 横目で(ちらっと)見る
Out of the corner of one’s eyeは直接見るのではなく「ちらっと見る・見えた」という意味です。
He saw something move out of the corner of his eye.
彼は何かが動いたところをちらっと見た。
Corner shop – 小さな店、すぐそこの店
Corner shopは、「小さな店、すぐそこの店」という意味で英語ではsmall local store と同じ意味になります。
I’ll pop in the corner shop to get some milk.
そこの近所の店に立ち寄ってミルクを買ってくる。
Just / right around the corner – もうすぐ、目と鼻の先
この表現はご存知の方も多いと思います。Just / right around the cornerで、「時間的にすぐ」、「場所的にすぐ近く」の両方の意味があります。
Exams are just around the corner.
もうすぐ試験だ。
My boyfriend lives just around the corner.
私のボーイフレンドはすぐ近くに住んでいます。
